For 75 years Woodlawn Hills Baptist Church has been serving San Antonio's west side community.

Since 1950, this small community church has stood as a beacon of faith for families on San Antonio’s west side. Founded by three men with a heartfelt vision to share the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, the church joyfully celebrated 75 years of ministry in 2025.

From its earliest days, God’s faithfulness has been woven into the church’s story. According to early church history, the main church building was moved to its current location from a nearby military base, where it once housed personnel during World War II. In 1960, an education building was added, expanding the church’s ability to teach, gather, and serve.

Today, the church continues to carry that mission forward with purpose and gratitude—proclaiming the gospel, serving the surrounding community, and opening its doors to all who seek faith, fellowship, and renewed hope in Christ.
